The state-owned Zimbabwe \u00a0United Passenger Company (ZUPCO) has failed to meet the demands of 10 million daily travelers, 15,000 small private transporters, and 40,000 downstream assistant drivers and parking assistants. This project seeks to bring the 15,000 small private transporters back on the road. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span>Their demand-driven schedules will bring convenience to travelers as well as economic respite to many small businesses. Whilst the private transporters are back in business, their regulatory framework is not yet in place hence periodic criminalization by the central government and local police forces.
