This project uses online media and creative essay writing targeting youths in business and colleges to discuss the George Ayittey book: Applied Economics for Africa\u00a0<\/span>https:\/\/www.africanliberty.org\/appliedeconomics\/<\/a>. The discussions focus on the contemporary state of affairs in Africa and apply this economic text to the obtaining situations. The agenda is to grow a cohort of libertarian and free market scholars\/activists who not only push-back on Africa\u2019s illiberal sentiment but grow the alternative movement of civic and economic freedom across the continent.<\/span><\/p>\n

Formally launched an essay competition titled \u201cWhat does liberty mean to you?\u201d. This initiative attracted a remarkable 65 student entries, with 10 essays initially shortlisted for publication. We proudly announced three winners.<\/p>\n

TECa, featuring George Ayittey’s development ideas, held a space event with 20 discussants using applied economics to influence public discourse on Zimbabwe’s socio-political landscape. The event attracted 16 Manicaland policymakers and reached over 108,000 online impressions and engaged ordinary Zimbabweans offline.<\/p>\n
